My hope is to offer proven, and repeatable, techniques for stress relief into what are, inevitably, pressure cooker environments.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness Meditation is a western, non-sectarian, research-based form of meditation derived from a 2,500 year old Buddhist practice called Vipassana or Insight Meditation. It is a form of meditation designed to develop the skill of paying attention to our inner and outer experiences with acceptance, patience, and compassion. By intentionally practicing mindfulness, deliberately paying more careful attention to the present moment, individuals can live more fully and less on ‘automatic pilot,’ thus, being more present for their own lives. For many, this not only mitigates personal suffering, it provides an real upgrade to everything from focus to mood to happiness. Bottom line, it is a process of mental fitness, putting you back in control of your life. It's still you, but it's you 2.0!.
